There are two groups of earth fairy. Surface and underground. Each group is divided into two sub-groups. On the surface there are fairies with physical bodies, tree spirits are a good example. Those without physical bodies would be garden or woods fairy.  Now the underground fairies are also to some extent found on the the earth. Those with bodies would be the great rock fairies and the underground tree spirits.  Now those without bodies would be rock fairies called Gnomes. Thus earth fairies come in fours groups, tree, garden, wood and rock or gnome fairies. Earth fairies  are almost always small, 12 to 18 inches tall! Most ppl see them as gold or green in color. Generally they have long ears and sort of hop about rapidly.  They are beings who are cheerful.  They are very socialble and live in communities and are very busy beings.  They inhabit the earth in wooded areas, growing moss and living  among tree roots or high weeds. They look after life forces of living things.  The tree fairy reside in each tree and are very clear in body form, seeing thru them is very normal. Their job is to look after the tree and control its energies.  Wood fairies are very pretty that enjoy dancing and music. They dress in fancy clothes and play amongst the flowers.  Many times they show up with the little wings they are famous for. Garden Fairies are very busy at dawn, when they pour out their special blessings upon the world. These fairies receive and distribute the energy of this time. Fairies see the sun as a great living  life-giving force where they draw their main energy from. This energy they live upon and distribute to the plants. Fairies are very happy to work with humans in making gardens a place of beauty and rest. They enjoy them immensely!!! Working with them will open your garden to becoming a wonderful beautiful spot!
Rock fairies  are very patient and are stores of great wisdom. This is because they are grounded into the energy of Mother Earth!  They can usually be seen by their aura which glows around a rock.
Gnomes live close or under rocks. They are short, rotund and greyish in color. Their feet are large and pointed, they have strong long arms, lumpy hands, with a flattened shovel shaped head. They have very long chins. Gnomes are very wise beings, and can read our minds. They are not very socialble, very individualistic beings who are constantly trying to send us messages to care for our earth.
