Flower Fairy
During the time of the Elizabethan and the Jacobean Fairy was also the time of the Flower Fairy! Now the Flower Fairy did come before but they have not only weathered the Jacobean and Elizabethan era they are very much in force to day. Here is the Flower Fairy! They are the gentle spirits of the Earth, the Hills and the Lakes. They are beautiful, small, willfull,wise, tricky, who love bauty and luxury. THey hold in contempt all the virtues of thriftiness and economizing! They were deeply offended by those who had to have the last of the grain, the last drop of the milk pail,picks every last fruit from the tree, leaving nothing for the fairy to feast on at night! They love to have food and wine and cream or milk left for them at night. TO this day, this is a powerful force to the Irish country dweller, alongside of the Ancient Shining Ones! Many People leave their faery offerings on the mantle or stove at night alongside a small bowl of water for them to wash in and they are very grateful and bless the home and family in many ways.
