Potions and Brews

SYRUP
FOR LOVE
1 cup apricot juice
1 cup dried apricots, pulped
1 cup mashed strawberries
1 cup mashed raspberries
4 cups water
4 cups sugar
Mash your fruits thoroughly, then boil them slowly with equal parts of fruit and
water. Strain
out the fruit solids, then add sugar equal to the amount of liquid; bring
mixture to a boil and
cook until a thick consistency is reached. Cool and store in air-tight
containers.
(This is good as a filling for tarts, as a poultry glaze, or as a cake or pie
topping. Otherwise,
use your imagination!)

Witch's
Brew
2 cups orange juice
1 cup lemon juice
5 cups apple cider
1 cup confectioner's sugar
Mix all the ingredients together and serve chilled. Serves about 8.

BLUE
WITCH'S BREW
1 package (12 ounces) frozen thawed
blueberries or 2-1/2 cups fresh
1-1/4
cups apple juice
1 cup vanilla ice cream
1/4
cup
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
In blender combine blueberries, apple
juice, ice cream, milk and cinnamon until smooth. Serve immediately.
Yield: about 4 cups
